Accelerated Programs. Colorado State University. A pathway to early graduation. Steady Progress. Early Completion. Next Chapter.

Steady progress. Early completion. Next chapter.

Accelerated Programs are designed for students to supplement fall and spring courses with courses taken over two to three summers. Students can make steady academic progress, complete their degree early, then be on their way to their next chapter in life.

Participating Colleges

A diverse selection of Accelerated Programs options are offered within the:

  • The College of Business,
  • The College of Health and Human Sciences,
  • The College of Liberal Arts,
  • The College of Natural Sciences,
  • College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and
  • the Warner College of Natural Resources.

Flexibility

The variety of summer terms allow for flexible scheduling. Courses span four-, eight-, 12-week, and additional-length terms. Online and/or hybrid courses are available within most programs of study. Summer can be an ideal time to take courses which are experiential, such as service learning, research, and internships. Students may participate in other settings, such as the CSU Mountain Campus and field studies, and through faculty-led Education Abroad.

RAMp UP: Graduate Pathways for Current CSU Undergraduates

At CSU, summer coursework can do more than help students stay on track for graduation, it can also create an early pathway into graduate education. Through RAMp UP, eligible undergraduates with junior or senior standing can begin taking graduate-level courses while completing their bachelor’s degree, helping them build momentum toward a future graduate credential at CSU.

The Accelerated Master’s Program, or AMP, allows students to move directly from a bachelor’s degree into a master’s program, with up to nine preapproved 500-level regular credits counting toward both degrees. The program is designed for students with at least a 3.0 GPA who plan to continue into a master’s program without a break in enrollment. Summer courses can provide added flexibility for students pursuing AMP or other RAMp UP pathways. Learn more about all the RAMp UP Pathways for Current CSU Undergraduates.
